The SPIKE is a weapon of my own design. While not classically trained in their use, I have always been a big fan of the Chinese weapons known as Sai and the Japanese weapon called the Jutte. Combine these with my training in the use of the side handle baton (PR-24) and you come up with the

SPIKE.

The SPIKE can be used to strike, stab, punch, rake, jab, and block. It is small, light weight and easily manipulated and swivelled in the hand. After handling it for ten minutes or so its simplistically artful form becomes readily apparent.

The Spike is 18.5 inches long overall with an 11.5 inch “blade”. The blade itself is not sharp, but instead, pointed and made from a very sturdy triangular bayonet design. The “lug” is 2.5 inches and accented with a 1 inch spike. The grip is made from a dark gray high impact PVC with a 4 inch section

wrapped in black paracord (with lanyard loop).
